A little clarity.

The short version

This is Spectretainment’s creator website, run by Spectre. You can browse without creating an account. There are currently no signup forms, subscriber lists, advertising pixels, or separate website visitor analytics scripts. We do not sell information collected through this website.

Cloudflare delivers the site. Some images and fonts load from Google, and video players load from Twitch or YouTube when you select them. Those providers receive connection information as explained below.

Hosting and live status

Cloudflare hosts and secures the website. To deliver pages and prevent abuse, it processes technical information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, and request times. Its services may use security cookies when needed. Cloudflare may process information in countries other than your own.

The website’s own code does not create a visitor database or log individual visitors. Cloudflare may still process operational and security data under its own policies. We do not set a separate retention period for Cloudflare’s service records.

The live-status service retrieves public stream information and Spectretainment’s latest VOD from Twitch using server-side application credentials. It does not ask you to connect a Twitch account or send your browser identity to Twitch for this lookup.

Video, thumbnails, and fonts

Twitch and YouTube video players are loaded only after you choose to watch a video or select “Surprise me with a Short.” On small screens, the Twitch button opens Twitch instead. YouTube embeds use its privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain; this does not make playback anonymous.

YouTube thumbnails may load before you play a video, and the website’s fonts load through Google Fonts. These requests can disclose your IP address, browser details, request time, and referring site to Google. Choosing not to play a video does not prevent these image or font requests.

When a player loads or you follow a link, the destination’s privacy practices apply. Providers may use cookies, browser storage, account information, or other identifiers according to their settings and policies. You can use the direct Twitch or YouTube links instead of embedded playback.

What stays in your browser

• VHS effects preference: local storage remembers whether you turn the visual effect on or off. It stays until you change it or clear this site’s browser data. Reduced-motion settings also disable the effect.
• Recent random clips: session storage remembers the last three selected clip IDs to avoid repeating them on the next refresh. This is normally cleared when the tab’s session ends; browser session restoration can retain it.

These values are not sent to Spectretainment’s server. You can clear them using your browser’s site-data controls. Blocking storage won’t stop you browsing; preferences or non-repeating picks may not be remembered.

Discord, social links, and newsletter

Discord and social links take you to other services. Messages, account activity, and data you share there are handled by those services and their community rules.

The newsletter is not accepting signups on this website yet. Before subscriptions or email delivery are enabled, this page will be updated with the provider, signup choices, unsubscribe process, and relevant data handling.

Questions and requests

For questions or privacy requests, email FlameXgames@gmail.com. Include enough detail to identify the issue; don’t send passwords or identification documents.

Depending on where you live and what information is involved, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restrictions on use of your information. Requests about a third-party account or that provider’s records should also be directed to that provider. We may need to confirm a request is yours before acting on it.

When things change

If the website’s features or data handling change, this notice will be updated and the date above will change. The newsletter and optional website analytics remain future features.
